College Portrait

The College Portrait communicates information on the undergraduate student experience through a common web reporting template. It provides information on the characteristics of institutions and students including cost of attendance, graduation rates, degree offerings, student engagement with the learning process, and core educational outcomes.

The College Portrait is the outcome of a collaborative effort (part of the Voluntary System of Accountability) among the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC), [the University of Minnesota belongs to NASULGC] and the public higher education community. Collectively AASCU and NASULGC represent over 600 public institutions that enroll 7.5 million students and award 70% of bachelor's degrees in U.S. each year.

The University of Minnesota presents this information to help current and future students and their families better understand the University. We encourage you to check out our College Portrait and those of other colleges and universities as a starting point to explore the higher education opportunities available to you.
