Institutional Planning Profiles

The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) continues to support the University of Minnesota move to become more data-informed in planning processes and decision making efforts. Feedback by focus groups and individual meetings with chancellors, deans and administrative leaders during the 2007 year have led to the redevelopment of the OIR profile system and the display of information for annual planning purposes. The profile system continues to be in development and refinement during the 2008 year and your comments will help OIR staff create and enhance ways to innovatively profile each unit and department with data information. In the foreseeable future, OIR will announce an on-line tool for easier access to institutional planning data, customization of data, and timely information.

Your comments will help OIR staff to further provide data information to meet planning needs. If you have questions or comments about the academic profile, please contact Rich Howard (612-626-4601, rdhoward@umn.edu) or Chris Frazier (612-624-0095, cfrazier@umn.edu).

Access to the Institutional Planning Profiles shifted in 2007 as a result of including employee sensitive data. The 2007 Institutional Planning Profiles, and others into the future, will be limited access to University employees. For access, please contact Rich Howard (612-626-4601, rdhoward@umn.edu) or Chris Frazier (612-624-0095, cfrazier@umn.edu).
